In order to prevent indifferences and disappointments in the ticket allocating process, Congress has instructed all the state chiefs to finish the process of candidates selected for the Lok Sabha elections in this month, after which the committee will approve it.
In the recent assembly elections, especially in Rajasthan, there was a lot of differences and disturbances within the Congress about the ticket allocation, which led the central leadership to face problems. Many angry party leaders had protested, and more than a dozen leaders had contested independently.
To prevent this type of situation, the state units have been asked to complete the selection process and submit the list by the end of this month. All state units will have to prepare their candidate list before the end of February. During the recent meeting of Congress General Secretary and President of the State units with Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the ticket distribution was reported to be one of the biggest issues.
In the view of the elections and ticket allocation process, it is seen that Congress will announce most of their candidates by the end of March so that they will have enough time for the campaign.
