The BJP has launched its manifesto for Odisha on Sunday. BJP President Amit Shah released the detailed Manifesto in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
One of the running themes in the Odisha Manifesto is to make Puri the Cultural Capital of India. BJP promises for a brighter and better Odisha, ‘New Odisha’. Amit Shah released the party manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra’ with major nine points dedicated for Odisha and to woo voter right before the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
The Odisha Manifesto has given priority to women and women empowerment; BJP has promised provision of capital punishment for rape convicts, involved in the rape of minor girls below 15 years of age. The party if voted to power has also promised to launch a scheme for providing two-wheelers to meritorious girl students upon completion of school education.
The party manifesto promises to execute the implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme and the PM Kisan Yojana.
Shah also announced fund of Rs 3500 crore for ‘Skill Odisha’ and Rs 2000 crore for Odisha Tourism Skill fund. The manifesto proposes to make Odisha the most sought-after tourist destination.
Shah promised that his party will ensure ‘ease of doing business’ for Odisha within five years and filling all vacant posts in the state within two years, as well as setting up a knowledge centre in Bhubaneshwar.
The party manifesto also states that Odisha will be a corrupt-free state and that if BJP is voted to power in the state then it will wipe out corruption and commission culture from the state. The manifesto also assured that stringent action will be taken against corruption, by appointing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe chit fund scam.
The nine-point BJP manifesto, Shah said, 'will explore the true potential of the state', alleviate the sufferings of the poor and downtrodden and make Odisha a sought-after tourist destination in the country.
