Welcoming the Centre's decision to bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, YSRCP MP Kanumuru Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju in Lok Sabha said decades’ old dream of people of Kashmir was finally fulfilled with the abrogation of Article 370.
Exuding confidence that development would finally reach the Valley, he said it was good to have only one flag for the whole of the country, rather than Kashmir having a separate flag of its own. The Centre's decision was a step in the direction of national integration.

While BJP and the above-mentioned parties hailed the decision, Congress, TMC, DMK are among those who accused the BJP having bludgeoned its way to decide on the fate of Kashmir unilaterally.
