PM Modi to lay foundation stone for new Parliament building on Dec10th

New Delhi: New Parliament building foundation stone will be laid by PM Modi on Dec 10th as per Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Along with this, ‘Bhumi Pooja’ will be performed which can be witnessed virtually and by few invitees physically. New building will be an embodiment of Atmanirbhar Bharat which features crafts by local artisans according to Om Birla.


Bharat Bandh on Dec 8th: TRS, Cong Extend Support

Hyderabad: The farmers’ protest against Centre’s new farm laws got support from all opposition parties for ‘Bharat bandh’ called by them on Dec 8th. Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) joined the protest by extending their support for the call given by various organisations related to farmers. TRS President and CM K.Chandrasekhar Rao said that their party cadre and leaders will actively participate in the badnh and make it a success. It is well known that TRS did not support the new farm Bills in the Lok Sabha. MLC Kavitha felt that if Mandi structure is dismantled, there will be no alternative structure in the country and it will make farmer insecure.


Nagarjunasagar ByPoll: All Eyes on Jana Reddy

Nagarjunasagar: Political heat is not over in Telangana with GHMC elections. It is bound to increase with upcoming Nagarjunasagar bypoll which will be announced in few days by EC. Announcement of the date and schedule may take time, but main rivals BJP and TRS have already started wooing senior Congress leader Kunduru Jana Reddy to join their parties, offering him their ticket.

Top TRS leaders failed in the mission

Hyderabad : There have been reverses suffered by top leaders of the ruling TRS in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections held on December 1. Gandhi Nagar division which was under the supervision of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR)’s daughter Kavitha, MLC, was one of the many divisions in Musheerabad assembly constituency region bagged by the BJP.


GHMC Results: TRS or BJP, Who Won?

Hyderabad: GHMC results are still slowly coming , but the  trends as per now show, TRS will be the single largest party ending with 70-75  seats and BJP around 27 to 30 seats and MIM around 38 to 40 seats in the final stand.


2 lakh tonnes coal per day from this month

Mancherial : Since the demand for coal is growing gradually, C & MD  N. Sridhar instructed GMs of all areas that two  lakh tonnes of coal production has to be there every day and 1.85 lakh tonnes of coal should be dispatched and 13.5 lakh tonnes of overdue to be completed and the  targets have to be met without fail.


GHMC Results: Many lessons for all the parties in the fray

Hyderabad: The ruling TRS received a drubbing it was fearing. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) should thank his stars for advancing the polls after learning a quick lesson from Dubbaka debacle. Had he allowed two months to pass to hold the elections according to the schedule, the BJP would have become the single largest party instead of the TRS.


It will be TS tomorrow: Lakshman

Hyderabad: “Yesterday it was Dubbaka, today it is Hyderabad and tomorrow it will be Telangana State,” said a happy Lakshman, president of national OBC morcha of the BJP, on Friday participating in celebrations at Nampally office of the BJP. Bandi Sanjay, TBJP president, in a lighter vein, said he would dedicate the BJP victory to the State Election Commissioner and the Director General of Police for working as TRS workers.  Sanjay described it as a saffron strike and promised that there would be surgical strike as declared during the election campaign.


How well conceived is PM’s idea of simultaneous polls?

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week reiterated his agenda of “one election” for the country for Lok Sabha, State Assemblies and even at other levels.  He justified the idea on two counts.  One, as polls are happening for various levels at different time point, they are coming in the way of development.  Second, the present schedules of polls involve a lot of expenditure even unnecessarily. But then why he has to say that “it is not a matter of debate, but a requirement for India”?
