GHMC Poll: Kavitha’s dual vote lands in controversy

Hyderabad: The fiery battle is still continuing between TRS and opposition parties, the Congress and the BJP, even after polling was over. This time the opposition pointed out about MLC Kavitha casting her vote in Hyderabad during GHMC Elections.


GHMC Poll Survey and Analysis

Hyderabad: The percentage of poll varied from 1st night to 2nd morning, showing it around 46% by EC in GHMC elections. On polling day, it was foul cry by all parties that there was a very poor turn out by voters with many reasons. Pink party was calculating how many seats  they will win if the percentage is low and kept low profile on number, without any press statements. IT MinisterKTR thanked each and every voter who cast their vote and specially congratulated his social warriors.


Farmers to intensify agitation

Hyderabad: The farmers are  continuing  with their protest after the talks between the Centre and the farmers demanding a rollback of the three recent farm sector legislations ended in failure on Tuesday. The Union government’s  proposal to set up an expert committee was rejected by the farmers’ associations.  However, there was no break in communication between the farmers’ leaders and government representatives. Both sides are willing to meet again on Thursday afternoon. The farmers’ representatives were asked to submit a detailed memorandum listing  their objections to the farm legislations in specific terms.


GHMC Polls : Kishan Reddy flays TRS govt. for voters’ apathy

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy said in a press conference that the TRS should be ashamed of less percentage of voting in the GHMC elections on Monday. He alleged that the government made use of the Election Commission for its selfish interests. Kishan Reddy said the ruling party in  the State has decided that no party should win elections even though it lost, that the reason for the tearing hurry in conducting the polls, he said. The intellectuals of the city should think who is responsible for decline in the polling, he said. The ruling party leaders created false impressions  with a plan to discourage voting, he alleged.


GHMC Poll: Who Failed, Government or People?

Hyderabad: It was a poor show in GHMC elections in the voting pattern and percentage. Reasons are many and there was no excuse for what had happened. All political parties made vigorous campaign for 10 days, but failed on polling day which was clearly visible.


‘No Show’ by Greater Hyderabad voters

Hyderabad: The people of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) preferred to stay away from the polling booths despite witnessing  no-holds-barred campaign by the ruling TRS and the Opposition BJP and MIM.  Polling in one division – Old Malakpet- was cancelled due to change   of party symbols, a mistake on part of  the election officials.  The re-poll will be conducted in this division on December 3. The Chief Election Commissioner of Telangana State Partha Sarathi has, therefore,  banned publication or telecast of exit polls results till 3rd evening.


BJP leader Vivek files 100cr. defamation suit against KCR

Hyderabad: Former MP G.Vivek filed a defamation suit against Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar for a sum of 100 crores separately. He released a press statement on Monday afternoon  at around 4pm with detailed context about the suit.


Farmers’ protest : Govt. should be flexible

The protest by farmers of half a dozen States in Delhi had entered seventh day on Tuesday with the Union government inviting them for discussion on December 3. The farmers have been demanding scrapping of the three farm laws that the NDA government had brought with a lot of pro-farmer rhetoric. The government should heed to the farmers, suspend the three so called anti-farmer laws and then hold discussion with the farmer leaders. The government and the farmers should hold talks with open mind. The government should try to convince the farmers by adopting a give and take attitude. It has to be flexible without standing on false prestige.


Atchannaidu takes over as AP TDP president 45

Amaravati: Former minister and MLA Kinjarapu Atchannaidu has taken over as president of Andhra Pradesh unit of the TDP. TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu has made Atchannaidu sit in the chair and shook hands with him. He was followed by his son Nara Lokesh who is national general secretary of the party.  As the Assembly winter session has begun on Monday almost all the MLAs and MLCs were there in the capital. All of them attended the simple ceremony  and congratulated Atchannaidu.
