Bangalore: Upcoming by elections for two assembly seats in Karnataka on Nov 3 appear to be crucial for all the three main parties – BJP, Congress and JD(S) – for different reasons. In other words, one  can say it is a litmus test for three senior leaders – Yeddyurappa,  Shiva Kumar and Deve Gowda.  All eyes are on two constituencies Sira and Raja Rajeswari Nagar (RR) as they decide the fate of senior politicians of Karnataka, Deve Gowda(87) and Yeduyarappa(79), who are almost looking for a retirement from active politics.

Siddipet: The campaign for upcoming by poll of Dubbaka witnessed tense situation yesterday after police seized huge amount of 18.65 lakhs from BJP candidate’s nephew house in Siddipet. Police claim that amount is to influence voters for by poll which was found after raid by them.

She was a star campaigner and Chairperson for Telangana State Congress campaign committee.

Dubbaka: As the election date is fast approaching  for Dubbaka by-poll,  the situation is gaining momentum with exchange of heated  words and tensions growing  between TRS and BJP. After the police seized cash at the house of BJP candidate Raghunanda Rao’s nephew, it felt the TRS is playing unfair politics by unleashing the police. After the incident, the BJP lodged a complaint with the EC against TRS asking for action and submitted a memorandum against Siddipet CP for manhandling their MP and party’s State president  Bandi Sanjay.

BJP’s election promise to provide Covid vaccine to all the people in Bihar free of cost has been criticised by all the Opposition parties across the country. The promise was the first item in the BJP manifesto for Bihar elections. The manifesto was released by Union finance minister, Nirmala Sitaraman on Thursday. She said the vaccine would be supplied to every household in Bihar as soon as it is made available by the drug industry.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his election campaign in Bihar in right earnest. He praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his able handling of the Covid’s  consequences. He was addressing his first rally in the State in which the 3-phase polling is scheduled to begin on 28 October. He asked the people to vote for the ruling alliance once again saying in Hindi, “Phir Ekbar, NDA Sarkar.”

New Delhi: Times Now – C voter released the findings of an opinion poll on Bihar which predicted that the BJP will emerge as single largest party with 80 seats and NDA alliance to retain power with more than 160 out of 243 assembly seat.
